Sydney GourlaySurvey Specialist
Sydney Gourlay is a Survey Specialist in the Development Data Group of the World Bank. Her primary area of research is methodological validation, with a particular focus on key agricultural components such as land area, soil fertility, and crop variety. Sydney is also an active member of the Global Rural and Agricultural Integrated Surveys (GRAInS) partnership between the World Bank and FAO. As a member of the LSMS-ISA team, she also assists with cross-country research and data analysis for LSMS-ISA project countries. She holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder and an M.A. in Economics from American University in Washington, DC. She is currently working towards her PhD in Economics (ABD), also at American University.
